Operations & Readiness

Strengthening Readiness Across the Military Health System

Mission readiness depends on having the people, processes, systems, and operational discipline necessary to support the force when it matters most.

ReefPoint Group helps military health organizations assess readiness, improve operational performance, strengthen workforce capabilities, and support mission execution through practitioner-led advisory services grounded in military and healthcare experience.

Our team combines military experience, healthcare expertise, and data-driven decision-making to help organizations sustain readiness and support operational success.

What We Do

We help military health organizations assess readiness, establish performance measures, develop governance frameworks, and create strategic plans that support medical readiness across the force.

Our work helps leaders understand current capabilities, identify gaps, and make informed decisions that strengthen readiness outcomes.

Operational readiness depends on having the right resources available at the right time.

We support medical logistics planning, sustainment strategies, operational preparedness efforts, and initiatives designed to improve readiness in dynamic and contested environments.

We help organizations align workforce capabilities, staffing models, credentialing strategies, manpower planning, and clinical readiness requirements to ensure personnel are prepared to support operational demands.

We provide advisory and program management support that helps military health organizations translate strategic priorities into operational execution.

Our teams support planning activities, mission readiness initiatives, operational assessments, and enterprise-level transformation efforts across the Military Health System.

Force readiness requires a resilient workforce. We support behavioral health initiatives, resilience programs, suicide prevention strategies, and workforce wellbeing efforts that strengthen organizational readiness and long-term mission effectiveness.

Featured Initiatives

Navy Medicine — Clinical Operations & Patient Safety

ReefPoint Group deployed teams to Navy hospitals worldwide to improve emergency department throughput, operating room efficiency, and clinical staffing. Partnering with ED and OR executives and clinicians to co-create and implement system redesign, we delivered an 18–39% improvement in OR on-time starts, roughly 10.6 additional OR cases per day, $1.7M in material savings, and a 66% reduction in inventory.

VA Construction & Facilities Management PMO

On the operations side of readiness, ReefPoint Group stood up and ran the program management office for a VA construction and facilities program — delivering 65 process maps, 300+ contract closeouts, and the governance discipline that keeps a large capital program on track. The client credited the ReefPoint-supported PMO with accomplishing “all that it has in such little time.”

Navy Medicine — Transformational Readiness Modernization (TRM)

ReefPoint Group is a trusted partner in Navy Medicine’s transformation from an organization centered on Military Treatment Facilities to an operational headquarters capable of generating and employing ready medical forces. As Defense Health Agency (DHA) assumed responsibility for MTF administration, ReefPoint Group helped restructure BUMED around the Director, Maritime Headquarters and Director, Maritime Operations construct. Our Navy Medicine Enterprise engagement framework connects BUMED headquarters, Echelon III commands, operational forces, USFFC, PACFLT, and other critical stakeholders.
